International architecture workshop in Rome promoted by Archistart

SketchUp texture, is pleased to introduce and supporting the 'latest initiative from our friends archiSTART: live an architecture holiday in Rome partecipate in an international workshop togheter with 100 youngsters and win an internship.

archiSTART promotes IAH Rome, an international architecture workshop, incorporated within a holiday, created in order to generate interactive experiences between students and young graduates under the age of 32 years.

100 young people from all corners of the world can live together for six days sharing ideas and gaining essential experience while immersed in the architecture and entertainment of the eternal city: Rome. 

The innovative aspect of this initiative is the breaking of classical learning processes simultaneously pointing to several factors:

- Integration and cultural exchanges between students from around the world within a single working environment, with the possibility of refining language skills and learning different styles of lives and cultures.

- Discover the secret corners of the city through guided tours and during  leisure time.

- Experience first REAL project situations in close contact with tutors and professionals helping to ignite, and develop, a passion for architecture.

- Experience REAL competition through an internal competition that will ensure compelling participation and attention in the Workshop working at 100 meters from the Colosseum.

- A chance to compete for internships at two studios both based in Rome,  in order to reward the most deserving participants with a direct path into the working world.

- Fun, assured by the atmosphere and continuous organization of events, parties and initiatives, including the grand New Year’s Eve party.

Information on the 3D model
Caleb gives us the following information:
A project calls for a design which accommodates a single family with a green environment living and is an extension to their far from home primarily known as a Rest House , located at Batangas, Philippines.
In order to convince the client, the proposal  had to be realistic as much as possible by expressing a real condition of the site, In that way I used to think of an ambient that would gives a natural outlook of the scene when it comes to setting up render.
The scene, It was modeled in Sketchup 2013 complete with components, maps and vray 2.0 settings. Rendering took about 7 hrs in Vray including test renders. I’m always aware of my work that it doesn’t always perfect, and day after day, I'm always looking to improve in search of the excellence.
A big thank you to Caleb for sharing with us this wonderful job !

The website is in Italian, but it is full of excellent tutorials, understandable in any language.

This great tutorial, explain, step by step, how to obtain, by using vray 2.0 for sketchup, a render, clear and clean as what we see in the picture below.

This excellent new 3d model, comes to us from Peru, courtesy of Erick Andre Rivero Zanatta, a young student of architecture. ( you can contact Erick by clicking HERE)

Erick tells us that he made ​​this model for a client who asked him to design his home in the giungla located in Pucallpa. The structure of the house, made ​​of reinforced concrete, with stone and wood finishes, has a double orientation, with an accentuated slope of the roof, due to heavy rains of this tropical zone,  and is equipped with large bright windows. The architectural style, overall returns a modern style well integrated into the landscape.
