TUTORIAL FOR RENDERING TREES AND SHRUBS in 2D WITH PNG FORMATS

PROPER HANDLING OF YOUR BACKGROUND 
TREES AND SHRUBS

1. Using SU Podium trees via SU Podium Browser.
Download it HERE 
 Install it. To use, go to Plugins menu and select SU Podium Browser
 ( you must be connected on internet to access the libraries)
Select the item you wish to use, drag and drop it to your scene.

 

2. Hit vray render. The trees has a white background. 
Vray default for Use Color Texture for Transparency is always unchecked. 
You need to tick to activate it.

3. Activating it will removed the background image of the trees and shrubs. 
Do it for each trees classifications. Then render it to see the diffirence. 
You now can use it for your render compositions.
 
4. In case you have some downloaded trees in png formats, 
you can use it too in case you dont have internet access. Import it as image
 
5. When dropping the images, dont get closer on its green and red axis. 
This will make your image lie flat on the ground, instead click a bit higher and reposition it later.
To enable the image to face on your camera, select the image, right click and select explode.
 
6. After explode, select all those components once again, 
right click and select Make Component.
On component dialog box, select Always Face Camera and Shadow face the sun. Hit create
 
7. Again, on your vray material, go to diffuse option and tick to activate 
Use Color Texture for Transparency.

8. Render it.
