here is the tutorial

STEP 1
Insert our Vray Mesh previously save, it can be from3ds Max
or the same program Sketchup
STEP 2
Locate the file with the following termination
STEP 3
When we import the archive, it’ll be as follows
STEP 4
Scale the model to the real dimensions
STEP 5
In this case add a vray plane for testing materials and not lose the level
STEP 6
Click on RT(Real Time Render) to see the materials
and know which one we’re gonna edit
STEP 7
Open the material editor and see the following image:If we see, is created a material group applied on our proxy. Every Id corresponding to a color assigned to the model, therefore we’ve toedit each material.Obviously the more complex is the model, more materials we need to edit.
STEP 8
Generally I locate my windows as follows, and I clicking each material
by changing the color to know how to locate in the render.
In this case I’ve selected the ID-0 and it correspond to the tires
STEP 9
If we note in the Diffuse, the color changes from green to red,
to makesure the material is the same. And in the RT automatically
changes the color to red, this means that I can apply my tire texture material.
STEP 10
In this image I already added a dark gray color to the tire,
I can see in my RT window
STEP 11
The following material corresponded to the bodywork, repit the lastprocess,
changing the color in diffuse to make sure
that is the correctmaterial and then continue editing
STEP 12
If we look, I added two reflections to achieve the metallic effect.
My next material is the color pink, and corresponds to the chrome of the car.
STEP 13
To make sure is the correct material,
I change the color and confirm that I’ve selected the same.
STEP 14
So I continue adding maps, reflections, transparencies, etc.
STEP 15
Reflections on wheels
STEP 16
The advantage of editing models in 3ds max is the complexity  from exterior to interior.
STEP 17
STEP 18
In this case I need the BMW logo.So I select my material from the material list
and add an image into diffuse
STEP 19
If we look the image automatically scale and continue editing
STEP 20
A little reflection
